Mary-Ellen completed a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours at Macquarie University in 2015. Her honours research, which has been accepted for publication, examined perceptions of health and attractiveness according to fat and muscle content in men’s and women’s bodies. Mary-Ellen has provided research assistance to Macquarie University’s Psychology Department for both child psychology and perception studies, and on the Chilled@School program at the Centre for Emotional Health. Previously, she performed an administrative role in a private psychology practice, tailored toward meeting the mental health needs of young people.
Mary-Ellen joined NDARC in May 2016 as a Research Assistant. She is currently assisting in the development and dissemination of an online community toolkit for methamphetamine, under Dr Katrina Champion, and works on the Climate Schools online prevention program.
