Brad completed a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) majoring in Psychology in 2013. His thesis was an investigation into whether subconscious influences can determine risk attitudes.

Brad is now part of the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Mental Health and Substance Use team. He is working on the Climate Schools Combined (CSC) project under Dr Nicola Newton and Prof. Teesson which is an innovative online preventative trial for anxiety, depression and substance use in adolescence. He is currently the project leader of the Pokémon Go Mental Health study.He is a part of the team that is developing and disseminating an online community toolkit for methamphetamine. Brad is also a Telephone Crisis Supporter and Group Facilitator at Lifeline Sydney and Sutherland.
